Home of the Midwest’s Largest Flea Market!  Held every Tuesday and Wednesday of each week from May 5th through October 3rd, you can find hundreds of vendors selling everything from fresh fruit to handcrafted furniture at the Shipshewana Flea Market. The small community comes alive with travelers from all over to visit this “do not miss” Hoosier tradition. The atmosphere surrounding the Flea Market is one of a kind. It is not hard to find a friendly face on these streets, nor is it difficult to keep one busy with the numerous activities Shipshewana has to offer. Don’t leave the area without experiencing home-style Amish cooking at the “Auction Restaurant” on the Flea Market grounds, or at other fine eateries in the area.

The Shipshewana Auction. What is now one of the most popular destinations in the Midwest started in 1922 when six pigs, seven cows and several head of young cattle were sold at the home of George Curtis during the very first livestock auction. Now, home to 2 major auction barns, 3 weekly auctions, and a number of specialty auctions, Shipshewana Auction has a bit of something for everyone.
