The Conference Center is designed with the theme of a traditional Amish farmhouse and barn, resulting in a look which compliments the rural farmsteads of the area countryside.

The center features a welcoming fireplace in the spacious entrance, and is well equipped to handle groups of varying sizes, including bus tours. The smoke free, alcohol free Center is fully equipped for catering, and has a staff of conference planners to assist with meetings and receptions. The conference center’s footprint is 15,000 square feet, with over 6,000 square feet of usable space. The Center can seat over 400 people at tables, and around 600 theater style. The center can be divided into five smaller spaces, with functional amenities such as large East facing windows for maximized natural light, and a large quantity of electrical outlets, both of which are ideal for quilting and woodworking groups. The space is ideal for civic groups, church groups, reunions, and receptions.

The Farmstead Inn & Conference Center is located directly across from the Shipshewana Flea Market, and is within walking distance of over 70 stores in the historic downtown Shipshewana shopping district. Open Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the flea market, with over 1000 vendors, attracts 20 – 30,000 visitors each week, May through October. The auction barns host weekly livestock, antique and horse auctions year round. The Trading Place Antique Gallery, adjacent to the Inn, hosts over 100 antique vendors. Except for the flea market, Shipshewana shops are open year round, with stores closed on Sundays.
